🎉 [Grant] Selected as Lead PI for IITP National Project on Physics-AI Disaster Response

We are thrilled to announce that our lab has been selected as the Lead Principal Investigator of the organizing institution for a major national project funded by the Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP)! 🎊

Project Title: Development of an Ultra-Fast, High-Reliability Physics-AI Hybrid Disaster Response Technology Based on MambaFlow Matching

Project Period: 2026. 04. 01 – 2033. 12. 31

Funding Agency: Institute of Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP)

Role: Lead Principal Investigator, Organizing Institution

Project Overview

This project integrates physics-based modeling with AI to build fast and reliable disaster response systems using MambaFlow matching. From a Disaster One Health Informatics perspective, it addresses disasters — such as floods and wildfires — that simultaneously affect human communities, ecosystems, and infrastructure.

Key research directions include:

  • Physics-AI hybrid modeling that incorporates physical laws into deep generative models
  • MambaFlow matching for efficient sequential modeling in disaster simulation and forecasting
  • Real-time prediction systems for time-critical disaster scenarios
